Austermann Step sock yarn, 100g 132 Violets, really great colours. Self striping, machine washable with Aloe Vera and Jojoba for a soft, fresh yarn. 75% wool/25% nylon. One ball makes a pair of adult socks. Self striping sock yarns allow the knitter to create the illusion of complicated fair isle and stripes without the effort or time. The added jojoba and aloe vera helps keep feet comfortable. One ball is enough to make a large pair of adult socks or two pairs of childrens socks. Free sock pattern from Austermann with purchase. 420m/460yds per 100g ball. 30sts and 42 rows to 4inches on 2.5mm to 3mm needles. Check your tension for accurate sizing. Austermann Step sock yarn isn't just for socks, approximate use for a size 12 (UK sizes) sweater is 450g, for a waistcoat/vest 300g. Mens size 40in sweater uses approx 650g with 500g for a vest/waistcoat. Childrens up to size 128cm tall approx 200g for a vest/waistcoat, 300g for a sweater and 50g for socks. |
